Alessandro Spadini, awarded in Lulea during Euromaintenance 2026 as European Maintenance Manager. He holds a degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Milan, with a master’s thesis developed jointly with Dallara Automobili da Competizione. Alessandro Spadini is also a member of the Salvetti Foundation.

Alessandro Spadini, Maintenance Excellence Project Leader at Barilla Group, received the EMMA award during EFNMS European Federation of National Maintenance Societies EuroMaintenance 2026 in Luleå, Sweden.
The article underlines an important message for our profession: maintenance is a strategic discipline that contributes directly to reliability, safety, efficiency, sustainability and long-term industrial value. By supporting more sustainable industrial operations, maintenance also contributes to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs).
