I giovani e le scienze 2021
Su incarico della Direzione generale Ricerca della Commissione europea, la manifestazione ‘I giovani e le scienze’ è realizzata fin dal 1989 dalla Federazione delle Associazioni Scientifiche e Tecniche (FAST) scelta come Italian National Organiser con il compito di selezionare i migliori talenti italiani da inviare a EUCYS – European Union Contest for Young Scientists, finale europea del Concorso dei giovani scienziati. La FAST ha organizzato il 9° concorso di EUCYS nel 1997 in occasione delle celebrazioni del Centenario della Federazione e la 27^ edizione nel 2015 in contemporanea con EXPO, l’Esposizione universale di Milano. La FAST valorizza ulteriormente l’importante esperienza scegliendo o accreditando i ragazzi più meritevoli per rappresentare l’Italia nei più prestigiosi eventi internazionali degli studenti eccellenti. Il Concorso si rivolge a studenti tra i 14 e i 20 anni; devono presentare progetti innovativi in qualsiasi campo di scienza, ricerca, tecnologia. Sponsorizzazioni già confermate: FOIST, Salvetti Foundation, Cielo Stellato Silvio Lutteri, COREPLA, Museo Nazionale Scienza e Tecnologia Leonardo da Vinci. Ecco le date previste dall’organizzazione: 22 gennaio 2021: termine per invio candidature e progetti alla Fast; 20 febbraio 2021 : pubblicazione dell’elenco dei finalisti selezionati dalla giuria; 6-8 marzo 2021: esposizione e premiazione dei vincitori; da maggio fruizione dei premi internazionali: oltre la finale europea di EUCYS-European Union Contest for Young Scientists, i principali appuntamenti sono: Regeneron ISEF e GENIUS Olympiad negli Stati Uniti, CASTIC in Cina, LIYSF a Londra, IEYI in Russia, INSPO e BUCA IMSEF in Turchia, ESI in Messico, MOSTRATEC in Brasile, TISF a Taipei e altri. Il Comitato organizzatore del Concorso è costituito da Alberto Pieri (Segretario Generale FAST), Rosaria Gandolfi, Roberta Panzeri, Manuela Bergami.

EUROPEAN CONTEST FOR YOUNG SCIENTISTS WITH THE SUPPORT OF THE SALVETTI FOUNDATION

On behalf of the Directorate-General for Research of the European Commission, the event ‘I giovani e le scienze’ has been organized since 1989 by the Federation of Scientific and Technical Associations (FAST) chosen as Italian National Organizer with the task of selecting the best Italian talents to send to EUCYS – European Union Contest for Young Scientists, European final of the Young Scientists Contest. FAST organized the 9th EUCYS contest in 1997 on the occasion of the centenary celebrations of the Federation and the 27th edition in 2015 simultaneously with EXPO, the Universal Exposition of Milan. FAST further enhances the important experience by choosing or accrediting the most deserving kids to represent Italy in the most prestigious international events of excellent students. The competition is aimed at students between 14 and 20 years of age; they must present innovative projects in any field of science, research, technology. Sponsorships already confirmed: FOIST, Salvetti Foundation, Cielo Stellato Silvio Lutteri, COREPLA, Leonardo da Vinci National Science and Technology Museum. Here are the dates set by the organization: January 22, 2021: deadline for sending applications and projects to FAST; February 20, 2021: publication of the list of finalists selected by the Jury; 6-8 March 2021: exhibition and award ceremony of the winners; use of international awards since May: in addition to the EUCYS-European Union Contest for Young Scientists, the main events are: Regeneron ISEF and GENIUS Olympiad in the United States, CASTIC in China, LIYSF in London, IEYI in Russia, INSPO and BUCA IMSEF in Turkey, ESI in Mexico, MOSTRATEC in Brazil, TISF in Taipei and others.
