La scienza e la ricerca ci aiutano a trovare le soluzioni per migliorare la qualità della vita sulla terra, garantendo la sostenibilità del pianeta. Perciò è fondamentale aumentarne il ruolo quale fattore motivante e ispiratore nelle scuole, nelle imprese e nelle istituzioni. Servono giovani creativi, originali, fantasiosi, anche un po’ sognatori; ma soprattutto fiduciosi nel futuro.
La manifestazione “I giovani e le scienze” (supportata anche dalla Fondazione Salvetti) è organizzata dalla FAST (Federazione delle Associazioni Scientifiche e Tecniche) su incarico della Direzione Generale Ricerca della Commissione europea, che ha scelto la FAST quale National Organizer con il compito di selezionare i migliori giovani talenti italiani da inviare alla finale del Concorso EUCYS-European Union Contest for Young Scientists. Con la presente edizione, la manifestazione “I giovani e le scienze” raggiunge i 2611 progetti presentati da 5392 candidati. Sono stati complessivamente 963 i lavori selezionati per la finale, realizzati da 2073 studenti. Il concorso ospita anche interessanti progetti provenienti dall’estero.
Il programma si svolgerà al Centro Congressi Fast – Piazzale Rodolfo Morandi 2, 20121 Milano. Coordinano: Roberto Buccianti, Presidente FAST, Alberto Pieri, Segretario generale FAST, Rosaria Gandolfi, Responsabile attività istituzionali FAST.
Sabato 9 aprile: -Allestimento degli stand dei finalisti. -18.00 Conferenza: “La gestione dei rifiuti pericolosi: una scommessa per il futuro”, con la collaborazione di SCITEC-CNR e SCI-Società Chimica Italiana, Sezione Lombardia. Relatori: Matteo Guidotti, Raffaella Soave, Laura Polito, Massimo C. Ranghieri, Stefano Econdi.
Domenica 10 aprile: -Visita al Museo della scienza e della tecnologia ‘Leonardo Da Vinci’ di Milano (solo per i finalisti). -14.30 Conferenza: “Uno sguardo sulla fisica da diverse prospettive”, con la collaborazione del Dipartimento di Fisica “Aldo Pontremoli” Università degli Studi di Milano e INFN-Istituto nazionale di fisica nucleare di Milano. Relatori: Marina Carpineti e Lorenzo Caccianiga. -Seguirà Presentazione dell’Associazione ‘Lead The Future’ e Consegna dei certificati di partecipazione ai finalisti.

YOUNG SCIENTISTS – 2022 – 33rd edition.
Science and research help us find solutions to improve the quality of life on earth, ensuring the sustainability of the planet. Therefore it is essential to increase its role as a motivating and inspiring factor in schools, businesses and institutions. We need creative, original, imaginative young people, even a little dreamers; but above all confident in the future.
The “Young scientist” event (also supported by the Salvetti Foundation) is organized by FAST (Federation of Scientific and Technical Associations) on behalf of the General Direction for Research of the European Commission, which has chosen FAST as National Organizer with the task of select the best young Italian talents to be sent to the final of the EUCYS-European Union Contest for Young Scientists. With this edition, the “Young scientists” event reaches 2611 projects presented by 5392 candidates. A total of 963 works were selected for the final, made by 2073 students. The contest also hosts interesting projects from abroad.

Sunday 10 April: -Visit to the Leonardo Da Vinci Museum of Science and Technology in Milan (only for finalists). – 14.30 Conference: “A look at physics from different perspectives”, with the collaboration of the ‘Aldo Pontremoli’ Department of Physics of the University of Milan and INFN-National Institute of Nuclear Physics of Milan. Speakers: Marina Carpineti and Lorenzo Caccianiga. – Presentation of the ‘Lead The Future Association’ and delivery of participation certificates to the finalists will follow.
