Dopo tre giorni intensi di networking, scambi culturali e innovazione nel campo della manutenzione, si \u00e8 conclusa l\u2019edizione 2024 di EuroMaintenance, unico evento congressuale e fieristico del settore in Europa. Oltre 3500 professionisti provenienti da tutto il mondo si sono riuniti presso il Palacongressi di Rimini per discutere delle ultime tendenze, sfide e opportunit\u00e0 nel mondo della manutenzione industriale.

\n<\/b>After three intense days of networking, cultural exchanges and innovation in the field of maintenance, the 2024 edition of EuroMaintenance, the only congress and trade fair event in the sector in Europe, has come to an end. Over 3,500 professionals from all over the world gathered at the Palacongressi in Rimini to discuss the latest trends, challenges and opportunities in the world of industrial maintenance. The event, organized for EFNMS by A.I.MAN. \u2013 Italian Maintenance Association \u2013 saw the participation of exhibitors, speakers and visitors from every corner of the globe, confirming itself as an international point of reference for the sector. In a dynamic and constantly evolving context, EuroMaintenance represented a precious opportunity to develop new collaborations, share experiences and promote maintenance culture.<\/span>
\nOn the occasion of the International Meeting, organized by EFNMS and AIMAN, attended by over 1800 managers and technicians of industrial maintenance, the Salvetti Foundation awarded some professional excellences.<\/span>

\n<\/span><\/b>TEOLOGIA DELLA MANUTENZIONE \u2013 DALLA PROFESSIONE ALLA MISSIONE.
\n<\/b>Intervento di Stefano Salvetti<\/b>, Presidente Fondazione Salvetti<\/strong>, alla consegna dei Premi 2024.<\/em>
\nIn questo importante congresso europeo e internazionale, parleremo non solo di tecnica ma anche dello stato dell\u2019arte delle pi\u00f9 avanzate tecnologie di manutenzione.
\nAdesso forse \u00e8 il momento di salire su un satellite e guardare il nostro pianeta da lontano per chiederci il senso del nostro agire sulla Terra.
\nChe si provenga da una cultura religiosa, secondo la \u00a0 quale tutto il creato \u00e8 un dono di dio all\u2019uomo\u2026 che si abbia una visione atea, in cui tutto ci\u00f2 \u00e8 frutto dell\u2019evoluzione... che si venga dall\u2019agnosticismo, per cui la provenienza di tutto ci\u00f2 che ci circonda \u00e8 indifferente perch\u00e9 conta solo la tecnica utilizzata per alzare il livello della qualit\u00e0 aziendale e massimizzare il profitto\u2026 comunque si arrivi alla creazione personale di un senso del nostro agire, noi ci troviamo comunque di fronte ad un mondo di \u201cattrezzi\u201d. L\u2019uomo \u00e8 diventato Homo-faber non solo quando ha conquistato la posizione eretta, ma quando ha iniziato a utilizzare responsabilmente un attrezzo. Dall\u2019evoluzione di un singolo attrezzo si \u00e8 arrivati alle macchine\u2026Poi al telecontrollo delle macchine poi alle macchine che controllano le macchine\u2026Infine all\u2019Intelligenza Artificiale, che controlla le macchine che controllano le macchine. Tutto ci\u00f2 si \u00e8 fatto e si sta facendo per massimare il profitto aziendale e per alzare a livelli pi\u00f9 alti la competizione commerciale mondiale. Tutto ci\u00f2 pone un problema del senso del nostro agire a livello di bioetica e di comportamento.
\nCi siamo dentro e non possiamo rifiutarci di agire! Per\u00f2, nel nostro essere tecnici, non dobbiamo essere solo esecutori e il punto di rottura si nota quando in azienda subentra il conflitto tra profitto e ambiente. Le aziende non possono avere altro obiettivo se non quello di essere redditizie. Mancare questo obiettivo primario, porta al fallimento aziendale, al collasso economico e al degrado del sistema sociale a barbarie.
\nPer evitare tutto ci\u00f2 bisogna fare appello alle coscienze. Ma attenzione: le coscienze muovono il mondo ma non cambiano gli obiettivi aziendali. Dev\u2019esserci quindi una legge che tuteli l\u2019ambiente. In questo modo le aziende e sottolineo tutte le aziende del mondo, perch\u00e9 la legge dev\u2019esser universale, opereranno le scelte di redditivit\u00e0 in un quadro normativo con vincoli di sostenibilit\u00e0.
\nQuesto \u00e8 il periodo storico che stiamo attraversando e noi tecnici di manutenzione, pur essendo fieri dei risultati raggiunti, guardiamo anche quanto ci manca. Se torniamo all\u2019Ottocento e alla rivoluzione industriale, il nascente sindacato ha operato perch\u00e9 non si offrissero stipendi da fame ai lavoratori. Oggi dobbiamo implementare leggi affinch\u00e9 la sostenibilit\u00e0 sia un vincolo aziendale. In somma sintesi: il nostro impegno di tecnici deve diventare da una professione a una missione!
\n<\/i><\/b><\/u>Tutto ci\u00f2 che ci circonda, che venga chiamato \u201ccreato\u201d e \u201cfrutto dell\u2019evoluzione\u201d, non deve andare sprecato! In questa ottica il nostro senso di professione raggiunge il un livello pi\u00f9 alto: la missione. Un\u2019ottima manutenzione degli impianti riduce l\u2019obsolescenza tecnica di essi e diventa un fattore mondiale di competitivit\u00e0 tra i pi\u00f9 importanti. Ecco, quindi, che siamo arrivati al punto che manutenere meglio per essere pi\u00f9 competitivi e non sprecare le risorse per esser pi\u00f9 sostenibili, diventa la nostra missione.
\nMissione ancora pi\u00f9 importante perch\u00e9 non lo facciamo solo per nostro profitto, ma per lasciare a figli e nipoti un mondo migliore, un mondo pi\u00f9 pulito e meno inquinato, un mondo pi\u00f9 ordinato, un mondo pi\u00f9 sostenibile, un mondo pi\u00f9 vivibile per tutti!

\nTHEOLOGY OF MAINTENANCE - FROM PROFESSION TO <\/b>MISSION
\n<\/b>Speech by Stefano <\/b>Salvetti<\/b>, President of the Salvetti Foundation<\/strong>, at the 2024 Awards ceremony.
\n<\/em>During this significant European and international congress, we will not only delve into technical matters but also explore the state of the art in the most advanced maintenance technologies. Perhaps now is the time to take a step back, as if viewing our planet from the vantage point of a satellite, and reflect on the broader meaning of our actions here on Earth.<\/span>
\nA religious perspective may hold that all of creation is a gift from God to humankind. Alternatively, from an atheistic standpoint, everything is seen as the product of evolution. If we adopt an agnostic view, the origin of our surroundings becomes irrelevant, with the focus solely on the use of technology to elevate corporate standards and maximize profits. Regardless of how we construct the meaning of our actions\u2014whether through faith, science, or personal reflection\u2014we ultimately find ourselves in a world of 'tools.' Man became Homo-faber not merely when he stood upright, but when he began using tools responsibly.<\/span>
\nFrom the evolution of a single tool, we progressed to machines, then to the remote control of machines, and eventually to machines that control other machines. Today, we find ourselves in the era of Artificial Intelligence, which oversees the machines that control machines. All of this innovation has been driven by the desire to maximize corporate profits and elevate global commercial competition. However, it raises profound questions about the ethical implications and meaning of our actions\u2014both in terms of bioethics and human behavior. We are deeply embedded in this reality, and we cannot shy away from the responsibility to act.\u00a0<\/span>
\nHowever, in our role as technical professionals, we must not simply be executors of tasks. The critical moment arises when a conflict emerges between profit and environmental responsibility. While it is true that companies are primarily driven by the need to be profitable\u2014failure to meet this goal can result in business collapse, economic downfall, and the degradation of society into chaos\u2014this doesn't absolve us from ethical responsibility. To avoid such outcomes, we must appeal to our consciences.<\/span>
\nBut let us be clear: while conscience can shape the world, it does not alter the fundamental objectives of a company.<\/span>
\nTherefore, there must be laws in place to protect the environment. These laws, and I emphasize that they must apply to all companies worldwide, should establish a universal regulatory framework that ensures profitability decisions are made within the bounds of sustainability. This is the pivotal moment in history we are experiencing. As maintenance professionals, while we take pride in the progress we have made, we must also acknowledge how much remains to be done. If we look back to the 19th century and the Industrial Revolution, emerging labor unions fought to prevent workers from being exploited with starvation wages. Today, we must push for laws that make sustainability a mandatory corporate responsibility.<\/span>
\nIn summary, our role as technicians must evolve from a profession into a mission<\/strong><\/em>. Whether we view the world as 'created' or 'the result of evolution\u2018, one thing is clear: nothing must be wasted. Through this lens, our profession takes on a higher purpose. By ensuring the excellent maintenance of systems, we not only reduce their technical obsolescence but also enhance global competitiveness. Thus, our mission becomes twofold: maintaining systems better to be more competitive, and conserving resources to promote sustainability. This mission is even more crucial because it is not solely about profit. It\u2019s about leaving behind a better world for our children and grandchildren\u2014a cleaner, less polluted world, a more orderly and sustainable world, a world that is more livable for all.

\nAnd now I have the pleasure of giving the floor to Scholte Strikwerda<\/strong>, Secretary General of the Foundation, and Bernardo Vicente Tormos Martinez<\/strong>, President of the Scientific Committee of the Foundation, who will illustrate the criteria for assigning these awards.<\/span>
